Born in Eltham on August 18th 1906, Andre Van Gysegham appeared as the Retiring Number 2 in The Prisoner episode 'It's Your Funeral'. He appeared in two fifty-minute episodes of Danger Man, 'Fair Exchange' and 'You're Not in Any Trouble, Are You?'. In the latter he played murder incorporated boss 'Enzo Bandone'.
Also well known as a theatrical producer, Van Gyseghem's film career fittingly began in the 1939 television production of Rehearsal for a Drama. Film roles include Candles At Nine, To Live In Peace, The Limping Man and Ordeal By Fire followed, before he concentrated mainly on television series. He appeared in David Copperfield, Danger Man, The Saint, The Search For The Nile, Doctor In Charge and Crown Court.
Van Gyseghem played his last role as Judge Robert Quigley in the 1978 series Law & Order. He died aged 73 on October 13th 1979. |
